# Hex

AccessOwl integrates with Hex to provision and deprovision user access in your Hex workspace.

## Capabilities

    AccessOwl creates user accounts with the specified roles/permissions during access requests.

    AccessOwl deactivates members from the Hex workspace during access revocations.

## Prerequisites

* **Admin** access to your Hex workspace, so you can invite the integration account.

## Setup

  <Step title="Add Hex in AccessOwl">
    Either add a new application or open Applications and click the +-symbol, then continue.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Invite the integration account as Admin">
    AccessOwl shows you the integration account's email address. In Hex:

    * Open your Hex workspace's **Settings**, then go to **Users**.
    * Click **+ User**.
    * Enter the integration account's email address.
    * Set the role to **Admin**.
    * Click **Add users**.

    <Note>
      Only Admins can add new workspace members and edit users' workspace roles in Hex. The integration account needs the Admin role to provision and deprovision users on AccessOwl's behalf.
