You are a Manager in AccessOwl because employees report to you. This page explains what that means and what AccessOwl will ask of you.

What is a Manager?

The Manager role is usually assigned automatically via your company’s HRIS integration. Approval policies often route access requests to managers, so when one of your direct reports requests access to an app, the request typically comes to you.

What you have access to

You can manage the access of your direct reports, including triggering an offboarding for them. In the AccessOwl web interface you have the same views as an Org Admin, scoped to your direct reports:
  • Requests - access requests from your direct reports
  • Revocations - revocations affecting your direct reports
  • User List - your direct reports and their assigned access
  • Reports - access data scoped to your direct reports
This lets you keep an eye on your team’s access without having to wait for an access review or an approval notification. The exact permissions are listed in the AccessOwl Roles matrix.

How to access it

From the AccessOwl Slack app

Open the AccessOwl Slack app home tab and click the Web interface button.

Or log in directly

Go to the AccessOwl web app and sign in with your work account.
