What is AccessOwl?
AccessOwl is how your company manages who has access to which apps. When you need access to a tool, you request it through the AccessOwl Slack app. Your request goes to the right approver automatically, and once it is approved your account is created. No more guessing who manages a tool or how to get an account. How it works
Getting access to any app follows the same three steps: you request it, it gets approved based on your company’s policies, and your account is created.Find your role
Regular User
Every employee. You request access to apps in Slack (or via the App Hub), and AccessOwl keeps you updated on the status of your requests.Quickstart for Regular Users
Manager
You approve access requests from your direct reports in Slack and take part in access reviews for your team. You also get a web interface scoped to your direct reports, where you can see their requests, revocations, and access.Quickstart for Managers
HR
You start onboardings for new joiners and offboardings for leavers, and receive the related notifications. If an HRIS integration is set up, much of this is triggered automatically.Quickstart for HR
Business Owner
You own one or more specific applications. You are responsible for the app’s spend, can act as a dedicated approver for its access requests, and can serve as a reviewer in access reviews. There is exactly one Business Owner per application.Quickstart for Business Owners
Application Admin
You handle the day-to-day operations for one or more specific applications. When an approved request cannot be provisioned automatically, you receive a task in Slack to create or remove the account.Quickstart for Application Admins
Org Admin
You administer AccessOwl itself, with full permissions. You set up applications and integrations, define approval policies, assign the roles above, and roll AccessOwl out to your company.Quickstart for Org Admins
