AccessOwl integrates with Dremio to provision and deprovision user access in your Dremio organization.

AccessOwl creates user accounts with the specified roles/permissions during access requests.

Deprovisioning

AccessOwl removes users from the Dremio organization during access revocations.

Prerequisites

  • Admin access to your Dremio organization, so you can invite the integration account.

Setup

Add Dremio in AccessOwl

Either add a new application or open Applications and click the +-symbol, then continue.

Invite the integration account as Admin

AccessOwl shows you the integration account’s email address. In Dremio:
  • Click the organization icon in the side navigation bar.
  • Click the settings icon and select Users from the sidebar.
  • Click Add Users.
  • Enter the integration account’s email address.
  • Under Dremio Role, select ADMIN.
  • Click Add.
The integration account needs the ADMIN role because only ADMIN users can invite and remove members in a Dremio organization.

FAQ

When AccessOwl provisions a user, Dremio sends them an invitation email to set up their account. The user only becomes active in your organization after they accept that invite. If a provisioning request shows as completed in AccessOwl but the user is not yet visible in Dremio, they have not accepted the invite yet.
