Capabilities
Provisioning
AccessOwl creates user accounts with the specified roles/permissions during access requests.
Deprovisioning
AccessOwl removes delegates from your GoDaddy account during access revocations.
Prerequisites
- Account owner access to your GoDaddy account, so you can invite the integration account.
Setup
Add GoDaddy in AccessOwl
Either add a new application or open Applications and click the +-symbol, then continue.
Invite the integration account as a delegate
AccessOwl shows you the integration account’s email address. In GoDaddy:
- Click your name in the upper-right corner and select Account Settings.
- Select Delegate Access from the menu.
- Under People who can access my account, click Invite to access.
- Enter the integration account’s email address.
- Select the Products, Domains, & Purchases access level.
- Click Invite.
The integration account needs the Products, Domains, & Purchases access level so it can manage delegate access on your behalf. Lower access levels do not include the permissions required to provision and deprovision users. If the integration account does not already have a GoDaddy account, GoDaddy will prompt it to create one when accepting the invite.
FAQ
The user was provisioned but I can't see them in GoDaddy
The user was provisioned but I can't see them in GoDaddy
When AccessOwl provisions a user, GoDaddy sends them an invitation email. The invite expires if not accepted within 48 hours. Until the user accepts, they will not appear as an active delegate in your GoDaddy account. If a provisioning request shows as completed in AccessOwl but the user is not yet visible in GoDaddy, ask them to check their inbox for the invitation.
