AccessOwl integrates with Stripe to provision and deprovision user access in your Stripe account.

Capabilities

Provisioning

AccessOwl creates user accounts with the specified roles/permissions during access requests.

Deprovisioning

AccessOwl removes users from the Stripe account during access revocations.

Prerequisites

  • Administrator or Super Administrator access to your Stripe account, so you can invite the integration account and assign it the IAM Admin role.

Setup

Add Stripe in AccessOwl

Either add a new application or open Applications and click the +-symbol, then continue.

Invite the integration account as IAM Admin

AccessOwl shows you the integration account’s email address. In Stripe:
  • Go to Settings > Team and security.
  • Click Invite team member.
  • Enter the integration account’s email address.
  • Select the IAM Admin role.
  • Click Send invites.
The integration account needs the IAM Admin role because it is the role specifically designed for managing access in Stripe. IAM Admins can invite team members, assign roles, and remove any user, which is exactly what AccessOwl needs for provisioning and deprovisioning. They cannot perform other administrative actions in the account.
