AccessOwl integrates with Linear to provision and deprovision user access in your Linear workspace, and to keep your list of Linear users and their permissions in sync.

Capabilities

Provisioning

AccessOwl creates user accounts with the specified roles/permissions during access requests.

Deprovisioning

AccessOwl suspends users in Linear during access revocations.

User Sync

AccessOwl periodically syncs a list of users along with their assigned roles/permissions.

Prerequisites

  • Admin access to your Linear workspace, so you can invite the integration account.

Setup

Add Linear in AccessOwl

Either add a new application or open Applications and click the +-symbol, then continue.

Invite the integration account as Admin

AccessOwl shows you the integration account’s email address. In Linear:
  • Go to Settings > Administration > Members.
  • Click Invite.
  • Enter the integration account’s email address.
  • Under Invite as…, select Admin.
  • Click Send invites.
The integration account needs Admin because only Admins can invite, suspend, and manage members in Linear by default. Without Admin, the integration account cannot provision or deprovision users.
