AccessOwl creates user accounts with the specified roles/permissions during access requests.

Deprovisioning

AccessOwl deactivates users in Similarweb during access revocations.

Prerequisites

  • Admin access to your Similarweb account, so you can invite the integration account.

Setup

Add Similarweb in AccessOwl

Either add a new application or open Applications and click the +-symbol, then continue.

Invite the integration account as Admin

AccessOwl shows you the integration account’s email address. In Similarweb:
  • Go to the user management section in Similarweb settings.
  • Invite the integration account’s email address.
  • Set the role to Admin.
  • Send the invite.
The integration account needs Admin because only Admins can deactivate users in Similarweb. The Champion role can invite and edit users but cannot deactivate them, so it is not sufficient for deprovisioning.

FAQ

When AccessOwl provisions a user, Similarweb sends them an invite email. The user does not appear as an active member until they accept the invite. Pending invites count against your account license total. If an invite is not accepted within 30 days, it expires.
