AccessOwl integrates with Quartzy to provision and deprovision user access in your Quartzy Organization.
The Quartzy integration requires an Organization on the Quartzy Academic, Professional, or Enterprise plan. Quartzy offers the Org Admin role only on those plans, and Organizations based outside the U.S. have no Org Admins. Only Org Admins can remove users from an Organization. You can still add Quartzy to AccessOwl without the integration, and access requests go to the Application Admin to complete in Quartzy.

Capabilities

Provisioning

AccessOwl creates user accounts with the specified roles/permissions during access requests.

Deprovisioning

AccessOwl removes users from your Quartzy Organization during access revocations.

Prerequisites

  • A Quartzy Academic, Professional, or Enterprise plan.
  • Org Admin access in Quartzy and Admin access to a Lab, so you can invite the integration account and make it an Org Admin.

Setup

1

Add Quartzy in AccessOwl

Either add a new application or open Applications and click the +-symbol, then continue.
2

Invite the integration account as Admin

AccessOwl shows you the integration account’s email address. In Quartzy:
  • Click the Org name or Lab name in the top left corner, then click the gear icon next to the Lab you want to use.
  • Select the Members tab.
  • Click Invite.
  • Enter the integration account’s email address and select Admin from the drop-down.
  • Click Send invitations.
3

Make the integration account an Org Admin

Once the integration account appears in your Organization:
  • Click the Org name or Lab name in the top left corner, then click the gear icon next to the Org name.
  • Select the Organization Members tab.
  • Find the integration account and change its role to Org Admin in the drop-down.
The integration account needs both roles. Only Admins can invite new users to a Lab, and only Org Admins can remove users from the Organization. Removing a user from a Lab alone does not free up their seat in the Organization.
