AccessOwl integrates with Shopify to provision and deprovision staff access in your Shopify store.

Provisioning

AccessOwl creates user accounts with the specified roles/permissions during access requests.

Deprovisioning

AccessOwl removes staff from your Shopify store during access revocations.

Prerequisites

  • Administrator access to your Shopify store (or store owner), so you can invite the integration account.

Setup

Add Shopify in AccessOwl

Either add a new application or open Applications and click the +-symbol, then continue.

Invite the integration account as Administrator

AccessOwl shows you the integration account’s email address. In Shopify:
  • Go to Settings > Users.
  • Click Add users.
  • Enter the integration account’s email address and click Add Users.
  • In the Roles section, assign the Administrator role.
  • Click Save.
The integration account needs the Administrator role so it can add and remove staff on your store. Note that invitations expire after seven days, so complete the AccessOwl setup promptly after sending the invite.
