Provisioning

AccessOwl creates user accounts with the specified roles/permissions during access requests.

Deprovisioning

AccessOwl deletes account users in Mailgun during access revocations.

Prerequisites

  • Admin access to your Mailgun account, so you can invite the integration account.
  • A Mailgun plan that supports multiple users. Free and Basic plans are limited to one user per account.

Setup

Add Mailgun in AccessOwl

Either add a new application or open Applications and click the +-symbol, then continue.

Invite the integration account as Admin

AccessOwl shows you the integration account’s email address. In the Mailgun Control Panel:
  • Click the Profile drop-down menu in the top right corner.
  • Select User Management.
  • Click Invite new user.
  • Enter the integration account’s email address and name.
  • Set the role to Admin.
  • Click Invite user.
The integration account needs Admin because only Admins can add and remove account users in Mailgun. The other roles (Developer, Support, Billing, Analyst) cannot manage users.

FAQ

Invited users receive an activation email from Mailgun and must click the link and set a password before their account becomes active. The user stays pending until they complete this step.
