AccessOwl integrates with YouTube to provision and deprovision user access to your YouTube channel.

Capabilities

Provisioning

AccessOwl creates user accounts with the specified roles/permissions during access requests.

Deprovisioning

AccessOwl removes members from the YouTube channel during access revocations.

Prerequisites

  • Owner access to your YouTube channel, so you can invite the integration account.

Setup

1

Add YouTube in AccessOwl

Either add a new application or open Applications and click the +-symbol, then continue.
2

Invite the integration account as Manager

AccessOwl shows you the integration account’s email address. In YouTube Studio, open the channel permissions settings and invite the integration account with the Manager role.
The integration account needs the Manager role because only Managers and Owners can invite users and remove access in YouTube Studio.

FAQ

When AccessOwl provisions a user, the integration account sends them an invite email. The user only appears in your channel’s Permissions list after they accept the invitation. YouTube invitations expire after 30 days if not accepted. If a provisioning request shows as completed in AccessOwl but the user is not yet visible in YouTube Studio, they have not accepted the invite yet.
