AccessOwl integrates with Google Search Console to provision and deprovision user access to your Search Console properties.

Capabilities

Provisioning

AccessOwl adds users with the specified permission level during access requests.

Deprovisioning

AccessOwl removes a user’s access to your Search Console property during access revocations.

Prerequisites

  • Owner access to the Search Console property, so you can add the integration account as a delegated owner.

Setup

1

Add Google Search Console in AccessOwl

Either add a new application or open Applications and click the +-symbol, then continue.
2

Add the integration account as Owner

AccessOwl shows you the integration account’s email address. In Google Search Console:
  • Open the property and go to Settings.
  • Select Users and permissions.
  • Click Add user.
  • Enter the integration account’s email address.
  • Set the permission to Owner.
  • Save.
The integration account needs Owner because only owners can add and remove users on a Search Console property. The integration account becomes a delegated owner, so it does not need its own site verification token. The email address must belong to a Google Account.

FAQ

No. Search Console permissions are scoped per property, and there is no organization-wide user management. The integration account must be added as Owner on each property you want AccessOwl to manage.
