AccessOwl integrates with Jira Service Management to provision and deprovision user access, and to keep your list of Jira Service Management users and their permissions in sync.

Capabilities

Provisioning

AccessOwl creates user accounts with the specified roles/permissions during access requests.

Deprovisioning

AccessOwl deactivates users in Jira Service Management during access revocations.

User Sync

AccessOwl periodically syncs a list of users along with their assigned roles/permissions.

Limitations

Only roles are synced. Groups are not synced.
A single Jira Service Management application in AccessOwl can sync either the Customer role or the User role, but not both at the same time. If you need to manage both, set up two separate Jira Service Management applications in AccessOwl.

Setup

The Jira Service Management integration is configured at the Atlassian organization level. Follow the steps in the Atlassian overview to invite the integration account and assign the Organization admin role. Once that is done, Jira Service Management is managed automatically.
